By coincidence, I came to study the experiments James Watt made on expanding steam, now around 250 years ago. He made an observation that was insignificant in his days and has become forgotten by later and today's engineers, because the expansive power of steam was never used commercially (due to large machine size).
I analyzed Watt's experiments mathematically and found that saturated/wet vapors behave in such a way, that using a refrigerant instead of steam, allows to recover waste heat, to become useful energy again. Entropy calculations showed that this is not in conflict with the 2nd law of thermodynamics. This is THE missing factor to enable manned spaceflight,
way beyond what is possible today.
